In just under two weeks, Oropesa del Mar will live the great skating party to host the IV edition of the ‘Roller Marathon Oropesa del Mar Internacional’, competition approved by the World Skate. In addition, it should be remembered that this test will start the World Inline Cup competition.
The director of CastellónSpain, Carlos Nicolau, highlights some of the most interesting details of the circuit:
“Our vision, in the first place, was to design a circuit in which the safety of the participants prevails, taking turns that always have a good angle and that the firm is in the best possible conditions. Undoubtedly, the uniqueness of this circuit is the ascent to the Faro de Oropesa, with its respective descent, in which the athletes try most getaways. It is also the longest closed circuit of all WIC tests, 11km away. Another attraction of this spectacular circuit is the attractive landscaping of skating next to the Mediterranean.
For his part, Víctor Torres, a member of CastellonSpain Roller Marathon, confesses that he feels excited at the same time nervous about facing the event:
This race is very important because, apart from being the race organized by the CastellonSpain Roller Marathon team, we are going to be the whole team. Therefore, there is some pressure to do it in the best possible way, since it is the only one that is disputed in Spain and we want to make a good performance “.
Also, Torres highlights the location:
“For any skater in Castellón it is an honor to have an international test with the best skaters in the world next to home and I think that there is no other place as beautiful as the Oropesa beach”.
The inscriptions for the IV Roller Marathon Oropesa del Mar will remain open until next February 28. All skaters can register, through the event website: www.castellonspainrollermarathons.org.
